Renting a private boat in Punta Cana

A private boat charter in Punta Cana puts the whole boat at your group's disposal: the captain, the crew and the deck are yours, with no strangers on board and a plan that moves at your pace. This page brings together every private boat we arrange, from catamarans for big celebrations to speedboats and yachts for families and small groups, along with private trips to Saona Island and Catalina Island that follow a set route.

Catamarans for groups depart from Bávaro, in the heart of the resort area, and spend a half day or the hours before sunset over the reef. Speedboats and yachts leave from Bayahibe and La Romana, on the calmer Caribbean side, for a full day at Saona or a morning of snorkeling at Catalina. Use the filters to see only the boats that fit your group, the ones that depart from the area you prefer or the ones that go where you want to go.

Private charters are priced per boat, not per person. Each boat shows its starting price; send us your date and group size, and we will reply with a firm quote within about two hours. Sending a request is free and does not commit you to anything.

Private charter questions

What is included in a private boat charter?

The whole boat for your group, with its captain and crew, for the hours of the charter you choose. What else comes on board, such as drinks or snorkeling gear, depends on the boat and the charter, and each boat page lists it before you send the request.

How many guests fit on a private boat?

It depends on the boat: speedboats and yachts take small groups and families, and the largest catamarans take well over a hundred guests. Set the number of guests in the filter and the list shows only the boats your group fits on. Every guest counts toward the capacity, children and infants included.

Half day or sunset: which charter should we choose?

A half day gives you the morning or the afternoon on the water, with time to swim and snorkel over the reef. The sunset charter is usually shorter and ends on deck as the sun goes down, which makes it the favorite for birthdays, proposals and celebrations. Some boats also offer a full day to Saona or Catalina.

How is a private charter priced?

Per boat, not per person. Each charter has a price that covers a number of guests and a set price for each extra guest. The price in the list is the starting price; your firm quote comes within about two hours, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Punta Cana time, once we have confirmed the boat with its captain.

Where does each boat leave from?

Every boat in the list shows where it departs from. Group catamarans leave from Bávaro, close to the Punta Cana resorts, while the speedboats, catamarans and yachts that go to Saona and Catalina leave from Bayahibe and La Romana. You get the exact meeting point once your charter is confirmed.
