Frequently asked questions

How booking works, what a boat costs in Punta Cana and what happens if the weather turns.

How much does it cost to rent a boat in Punta Cana?

It depends on the boat, how long you spend on the water and the size of your group. Private charters are priced per boat, with a number of guests included and a set price for each extra guest; shared trips are priced per person. Every boat page shows its starting price, and your firm quote comes once we have confirmed the boat with its captain.

How does booking work?

Choose a boat or a trip, a date and your group size, and send the request. We check with the captain and reply with a firm quote within about two hours, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Punta Cana time. You pay on this site before the quote expires, and your booking is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through.

Do I pay anything to send a request?

No. A request is free and does not commit you to anything. You only pay if you accept the quote, on the payment page we send you.

How can I pay?

By card, through Stripe, or with PayPal, on the payment page of your booking. Prices are in US dollars. We never see or store your card number.

Is hotel pickup included?

Only when the trip page says so. For any other trip, and for private charters, ask for pickup in the request: your quote will confirm whether pickup from your hotel is possible.

Can children come on the boat?

Yes. On shared trips children pay a reduced price and infants under 3 go free. On a private charter every guest, infants included, counts toward the capacity of the boat.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The captain and the Dominican Navy decide whether boats can go out. If your trip is called off because of the weather, we move it to another date or refund it as our cancellation policy explains.
